alexnder the great

I wanted to write blog about Alexander the great the leader from Macedonia. But first his Father king Philips toke Greece in 338 b.c.e which meant at the time of kings Phillips death and Alexander became kings of Macedonia, basically means the Macedonian where the power in Greece. Alexander was a great leader to get the entire Greek society to comment war against their common enemy the Persian empire at the time. i find it truly amazing that in the time of Alexander in about 10 short years Alexander had taken over and defeated the largest empire to exist at the time the Persian empire. Alexander created the largest empire to exist. Alexander greatest military feats of the ancient world made the Greek empires the largest empire of the Persian to exist. to land from Egypt, Anatolia west of Afghanistan, India and part of the middle east like Babylon which is modern day Iraq. In some ways Alexander can be admired as a leader because he was able to get his enemy to freely fight with him. i believe he did this by treating his conquered enemy with respect and allowing them to return home and allowing the rules of the country to stay in their places. he also married a Persian princes which angered his people but created Harmony with the Persian people which fought with him against the Indians. for modern when we look back Alexander showed us that  carsematic leader can do to inspire an army and people to a cause. i believe this proven because once Alexander died the empire feel and had to be divided into three parts lead by three Macedonia generals. as a military man my self i was told to read the leaders of great leaders of our past and how to use their example how to motivate their in people into was one was Alexander the other was Adolf Hitler book mienkoof. i believe it is important to understand our history so that we don't make the same mistakes over again. but as history has showed us i guess we never truly learn from our father we just seem to contiune their mistakes.
